James is a singer songwriter from the famous West Yorkshire village of Hebden Bridge. His massive repertoire of folk music is something that is preserving and evolving the songs, lyrics and messages of songs that might get lost or buried. His version of 'The Foggy Dew' about the Easter risings has already received great acclaim. His solo albums are precious, beautiful and are in a world class delivery. James is a very special talent, and we have made great memories and music recording his two albums for Lost at Sea.
Miss James and The Misterz
The sound of a vinyl voice, open tunings, perfect percussion bendy brilliant bass lines give this band a sound like no other. Rachel James writes wonderfully crafted songs in all different tunings and emotions. From the slick ultra cool 'Cement Shoes' to the funeral drinking 'Pinga', a heart moving 'Rhythmic Clunks' and the awesome 'Tick Tock'. Rachel, Mike and Paul were the first to get involved with Lost at Sea when it was just an idea building. From the very start they have added a class to the label that gave us the momentum to keep going. We recorded a very good album and when Paul parted ways we recorded a live session from the two piece project 'White Margin Stargazers'
The SLUTCO Corporation
SLUTCO are a violently artistic scream and shout it all out neo hip hop lizard punk and junk quartet. They blend together a pop poking message that confuses the lesser listener. It goes through different doors, but still tastes good. People voted this the music that would most probably melt the financial system. And it did. Don't worry about a thing. Just take your medicine.....
